BLOG POST 2
Hello!
My finalized idea is a lampshade. I plan to create an anatomical heart and have it be a pentagon shape. I plan to use finger joints for the points.
I have decided on black acrylic for my material as I want to have some slightly edgy imagery, and also want the light to reflect well off of it. I feel like having a black surface with yellow light inside will look sharp.
My imagery will be anatomical hearts and a grenade, and I plan to have either words projected through the bottom or the grenade, I will see when I lay it out... this will likely be made by my 3d printed object.
UPDATE:
This was an interesting process. Not too many problems this far, but I realize I need to change the thickness of my box to make a realistic model.
I had SOME issues with the cutouts but they didnt take too long to fix. I am nervous about what the grenades will be like to do as they have a bit more detail.
Lining up the template I made of the heart to the box was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
I want to redo the lettering on the bottom, it was more for visualization, but I wish I had just planned that out further from the jump. I just wasn't sure if I would like it at all, or if I wanted that to be 3d printed. I am such a visual person I NEED to see things mocked up.
CHEERS!
